Our friendly and efficient administration team

Chrissy and Jane

Emily Mary Yolanda

Chrissy joined Socrates in early 2012 as Senior Administrator after many years of working in the NHS. Her wide experience involves working in CAMHS, children's and women's services, paediatric wards, general office administration and PA to a general manager. Chrissy has a well-developed insight and empathy into the diverse needs of Socrates' clients and her experience and skills enable her to provide a very high quality service to clients and colleagues alike.

Jane is our Lead Administrator and joined Socrates in mid 2009. She has extensive experience of working in the NHS including in CAMHS, children and women's services, doctors, health visitors, district nurses and school nurses. Her varied roles have involved working with clients, management and colleagues. Such an array of experience means that as well as being a highly valued member of the team she is able to deliver a service to meet the needs of all of Socrates' clients.

Emily is an Administrator and has worked for Socrates since early 2016 and has completed her Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration. In a short space of time she has quickly become a valued member of the team and she is now the main administrator for the Socrates Multi-disciplinary Assessment and Review Team. Emily exemplifies the real team spirit in our admin team.

Prior to joining Socrates in late 2016, Mary worked for many years in older people services in the charitable sector running community based initiatives; this involved liaising with a local authorities, charities, social services and the police. She then spent nearly a decade working as a boarding school matron, a role about which she speaks particularly highly. Mary's calm, approachable and sensitive manner is well suited to her role at Socrates.

Yolanda joined our team in 2014. She has worked on board cruise ships both in charge of the medical team responsible for first aid training and hospital, as well as the food and beverage manager of bars and restaurants with a large and diverse staff. Yolanda has also worked as a medical representative, primarily in the fields of asthma, bone health and schizophrenia with primary care doctors. She continues to work as a baby carrying consultant with parents, carers, midwives, and social workers, a role she has undertaken since 2007.

We currently have opportunities for self-employed Associate Clinical Psychologists with a minimum of two years post qualification experience to provide adult and child assessment reports within Children Act proceedings and Local Authority pre-proceedings reports. The work will be based in West Yorkshire but will involve travel, for example to observe contact, attend court to give evidence or undertake assessments at solicitor offices.

If you would like to discuss further, please contact Dr. Rachel McCormick or Dr. Leanne Tidsey on 01484 514594.

We have a vacancy for a newly qualified Clinical Psychologist within our friendly and well supported team. In the adult and child areas of the service, there is the opportunity to develop preferred therapeutic models, offering short and longer term interventions and to assist in service evaluation and new initiatives with colleagues. If legal assessment work is of interest then this is also an area that is available within the service but not a necessity for this post. Individual supervision will be provided by a senior Clinical Psychologist and there are regular peer supervision support sessions and specialist supervision groups. We support and fund external supervision if this is required as part of training needs and fits with the provision of the service. Other benefits include free parking, company pension and an annual training budget.

If you would like to discuss further, please contact Dr. Rachel McCormick or Dr. Leanne Tidsey on 01484 514594.
