Dr Sue Lee has had 12 years’ experience as a qualified Clinical Psychologist in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. She is registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She has worked with children and young people presenting with a range of psychological difficulties including low mood, anxiety, behavioural difficulties, psychosis, eating disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
Her main therapeutic approaches are cognitive-behavioural therapy, systemic therapy and behavioural therapy. As well as direct work, she likes to work alongside parents/carers, and school staff, taking a holistic-systemic approach.
For the past 10 years, Dr Lee has been a lead clinician for an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessment pathway. She is trained in administering the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule - 2nd Edition (ADOS - 2), Autism Diagnostic Interview - Revised (ADI-R), and QB test. As well as the assessment pathway, Dr Lee has had extensive experience in providing assessment and therapeutic intervention of mental health difficulties in children with ASD and/or Intellectual Disability. She is trained in Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) and Care, Education, and Training Review (CETR). Finally, she has developed a special interest in working with children who are Deaf, and have worked jointly with the National Deaf CAMHS team (NHS England).
