Dr Lindsey DuQueno qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2002. She is registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She offers assessment and therapeutic work for adults, young people and families affected by a range of psychological and emotional difficulties including acute and chronic stress, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress reactions (PTSD), obsessive compulsive problems, eating difficulties, self-harm and suicidal ideation as well as other chronic difficulties resulting in ongoing problems in relationships and daily life. She has developed a strong interest and specialist therapeutic skills in working with psychological trauma, occurring in childhood or adulthood, from single incidence to multiple, complex and developmental trauma. She also provides medico-legal assessments and reports of young people and adults within personal injury law.

Dr DuQueno has over 25 years experience providing psychological services to children and families and adults, assisting people to understand and significantly improve or overcome their experience of mental health problems. This includes working as a qualified clinical psychologist in NHS child and adolescent mental health services for 7 years and as a senior clinical psychologist working in severe and enduring adult mental health services in the NHS for 13 years. She has considerable training in, and experience providing integrative approaches of both individual and group therapy drawing upon cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) including third-wave CBT approaches- i.e. mindfulness-based cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and compassion-focussed therapy (CFT), in addition to being informed by person-centred and dynamic thinking and influences. She has also undertaken the full training in EMDR in 2018-2019 and has been continuously building her experience and skills in EMDR since then. Through all Dr DuQueno's work attention is given to the therapeutic relationship- respect, trust and rapport being central- and consideration is given to how interpersonal processes may be affected by and influence the “difficulties”. She values continuous regular clinical supervision to support her work and endeavours to keeps up to date with research and discussion and to further her personal and professional development through reading, workshops and short courses.
