Dr Andrea Johnson-Renshaw is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience in the NHS of working with children, young people and their parents/carers experiencing moderate and severe psychological difficulties. She has specialist post qualification training in parenting, attachment and trauma interventions for children and for adults having completed EMDR Therapy (Adult, Child and specialist developments); Video Interaction Guidance and Incredible Years and Parent Child Game training.

Dr Johnson-Renshaw has considerable experience in working with the full age range from infants to young adults and their parents and carers and also adults in their own right. She can deliver therapeutic assessment and interventions for children and young people presenting with a wide range of difficulties (anxiety, obsessive compulsive problems, depression, post-traumatic stress, complex and developmental trauma, behavioural difficulties, developmental difficulties with toileting, sleep, feeding; attachment difficulties and where parenting interventions are required). She can also work effectively with adults coping with challenging psychological presentations (post-traumatic stress, anxiety, fears, depression, unresolved grief, struggles with relationships and reactions to difficult experiences).

Dr Johnson-Renshaw is also experienced in providing individual and group clinical supervision and professional leadership. She is also adept at public speaking on psychological issues and therapies and in providing training to relevant partner agency colleagues.
