Dr Suzanne Riddell

Dr Suzanne Riddell is a clinical psychologist registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), chartered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and is also an accredited Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) practitioner.

Since qualifying in 2006, Suzanne has extensive experience of working in the NHS with adults who experience a variety of psychological difficulties. These include anxiety disorders such as phobias, panic, health anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder, mood disorders, low self-esteem, psychotic experiences and eating disorders.

Suzanne will mostly use cognitive analytic therapy or cognitive behavioural therapy approaches although as an experienced therapist she can be integrative and draw on many therapeutic models in order to meet the client’s needs. Suzanne especially focuses on developing a collaborative therapeutic relationship with clients, jointly working to bring about the changes the client wants in their life.

In addition to providing individual therapy, Suzanne has worked with families and used group based interventions. Suzanne also provides placements to trainee clinical psychologists and is an external marker of academic work for the Liverpool University Doctorate in Clinical Psychology course. She also provides consultation, training and supervision to psychology colleagues and other mental health professionals.
