Dr Vicki Wingrove

Dr Vicki Wingrove is an experienced Clinical Psychologist who has worked within the areas of child and adolescent mental health and learning disability for many years. She offers assessment and therapeutic work for young people presenting with a range of psychological difficulties such as low mood, anxiety, post-trauma symptoms and behavioural difficulties. She is also a member of the team at Socrates which provides assessment and intervention for young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions and other neuro-developmental disabilities.

Dr Wingrove uses an integrative approach in her therapeutic work, and likes to work creatively, using Cognitive Behavioural play therapy techniques. She is strongly influenced by the Family Partnership model and her play therapy training. Dr Wingrove offers therapy that is based on psychological formulations, working in partnership with families to develop a shared understandings that enables tailored goal setting.

Dr Wingrove is passionate about working with children and families, and has extensive experience of working with children and young people with additional needs and/or neurodevelopmental conditions, including contributing to NHS services, where her role is focussed around ASC assessment and therapeutic interventions and child development teams.
