Ms Julie Burnell is a member of the team at Socrates which provides assessment and intervention for young people with Autistic Spectrum and related conditions. She also provides educational assessments and intervention, as well as consultation to schools and other agencies.

During her career as an Educational Psychologist, Ms Julie Burnell has worked with a full range of learning needs of children, across both pre-school and school-age ranges. She has undertaken psychological assessment of, and provided interventions for, children and adolescents in a variety of school settings, helping parents and teachers identify learning strengths and deficits, and to plan interventions to best utilise these resources. She has been attached to schools with a wide range of specialist provisions, including visual impairment, hearing impairment, dyslexia, ASD (Autism), speech and language delay and general developmental delay, and has extensive experience in assessing and providing interventions for children in these areas.

Julie is also an associate Educational Psychologist for a private company which specializes in providing psychological input for children with Acquired Brain Injury
