Mrs Ailsa Smith joins SCP

Mrs Ailsa Smith has joined SCP’s Associates. She has 22 years of experience working in the NHS as a Clinical Psychologist with children and their families. She undertakes psychological assessment (clinical and neuropsychological) and intervention with children and their families presenting with a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties. She adopts an integrative approach and draws on psychological models and theories such as systemic theory, behavioural theory, cognitive theory, attachment theory, and solution focused approaches. She has a specialist interest children on the Autistic Spectrum and other Neuro -Developmental disorders, including children with Moderate, Severe and Profound Learning Disability. She is trained and experienced in the use of ADOS and running EarlyBird and Cygnet programmes.
